Absolute Nonsense , to put it mildly

The notion that some how the War In northern Uganda has persist this far  because of "religion"  is nothing other then Absolute Nonsense  which can Only be Propagated  by the NRM  Military Dictatorship. The fact   of the Matter     is that the    war in  Northern Uganda   persisted for now 20 years  because of NRM  militaristic Policies. The NRM military dictatorship  has this believe that to every problem the only solution is the "hammer" so to say...and so the Karamojong issues, acording to the NRM , can Only be addressed by the barrel of the GUN , The os called "Kony" issue can be addressed by the use of the  gun.

The solution to many of Uganda's Problems , lies  in conducting the affairs of the state  in A diplomatic manner and pursuing the avenue of dialouge  other then Military conquest  and wars. To this end , therefore, and as I have constatntly stated, The people  of Uganda need a Regime Change, and the sooner we get rid of the NRM goons in Kampala , the better for our nation state

The LRA war in northern Uganda is a result of the failure of religion, the local government minister has said.

Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere said the war had persisted because christianity had failed to create a morally upright society.

He was on Friday closing a one-day Innovations at Makerere ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) workshop at Serona Hotel in Kyotera town in Rakai district.

Kabwegyere was surprised that there is still cattle theft in Karamoja even when Christianity had been in the region for years.

"I wonder why some people are praised when they are apprehended for stealing their colleagues' cattle. This shows that religion is failing in the north," he said.

The minister commended [EMAIL PROTECTED] for training local government leaders, especially at the district level. The project is chaired by Makerere University vice-chancellor prof. Livingstone Luboobi

Kabwegyere said there was an improvement in the management of decentralised service delivery.

He urged [EMAIL PROTECTED] to look for other funding bodies other than the World Bank and the Rockfeller Foundation.

Kabwegyere said it was important for every research carried out by [EMAIL PROTECTED] students to be copied to his ministry to enrich its library.

Luboobi pledged that Makerere University would continue supporting the decentralisation process by training local government officials.

Rakai LC5 chairman Vincent Semakula urged [EMAIL PROTECTED] to include MPs in its programmes so that they are informed of the developments in the country.
