Ugandan coach vanishes in USA

By Swalley Kenyi

A Ugandan coach has gone missing in the United States of America.

Joseph Ssesanga, tactician to the Uganda Juniors League team at the
U-14 Cocoa Expo football tournament in Florida USA, went missing
after handling the team for only two days.

Head of the Ugandan delegation Rosco Nsubuga told The New Vision
yesterday evening that the team of 26 players was now being handled
by assistant coach Martin Mugenyi and two American volunteer coaches
Jerry Queen and Udo.

Jerry, who is the kids' world goal keeping coach, has taken up
Ssesanga's role while Udo is helping assistant Mugenyi.

Nsubuga said the team would cope with the new technical team ahead
of their first match of the tournament.

He said that his focus was now on the children and not the
tacticians.
"The team is in high spirits and I hope they will win the game later
in the day. That is our concern here.

"We can't really worry much about the coach. Responsible authorities
will handle that," Nsubuga said.

He said the team had drawn attention from leaders of over 30 teams
from Europe.
