"Aronda said the northern rebellion has taken long because of limited funding to the army, the Sudan involvement and lack of cooperation from local leaders."
i) The fact is that the Bloody british and the Americans supplied Museveni with sophisticated weapons for 18 years to fight "kony"..if people think that Ugandans are not aware of this fact ..then they are simply joking!!!!!!!
ii) The fact is that in spite of the US and British Military and diplomatic support to the dicttaorship in Kampala, the regime couldn't defeat the so called "rebels"
II) the people of Uganda, now want peace nothing else. should the dictatorship in Kampala fail to abide by the people wish, other means should and must be adorped to get rid of Museveni ASAP!!!

The Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Aronda Nyakairima , offered two bulls to the Lord's Resistance Army rebel leaders as a belated Christmas gift.
He handed over the bulls to Ms Betty Bigombe, the chief mediator in the peace negotiations between the government and the LRA, at Pece Stadium in Gulu town on Monday.

Aronda said the offer was an indication that the army, as an institution, was committed to peace talks and co-existence among all Ugandans.
Bigombe delivered the bulls to the Uganda-Sudan border on Tuesday where she and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, and Gulu LC5 Chairman, Lt. Col. Walter Ochora, were expected to meet the LRA leader Joseph Kony at Ngomoromo.
Aronda appealed to the LRA to be committed to the ongoing ceasefire and peace talks.
"We want peace to prevail throughout the country," he said.
He said the UPDF would observe the ceasefire, but they expect the LRA to reciprocate to pave way for meaningful peace talks.

Aronda said the northern rebellion has taken long because of limited funding to the army, the Sudan involvement and lack of cooperation from local leaders.
He said Sudan had stopped arms supplies to Kony, which has given the UPDF opportunity to drive the rebels out of their bases in southern Sudan.
