Fellow Citizens:
behold how Museveni's NRM uses manipulative tactics to deny Ugandan politicians an opportunity to meet with the people. UPDf now claims that Muntu was prevented to proceed with his tour of Northern Uganda to conduct his fund raising ...mbhu because there were some " LRA" rebels hiding in the bushes and presumably wanted to KILL Muntu....the very "LRA" which Museveni says he has defeated!!
I think Museveni tactics , at this point, is very simple.. scare members of Uganda opposition from have free assess to certain areas in the Country for champaign purpose...using the "LRA" PRA, ADF.. scare tactics. Members of the Oppsoition are told that if you go there , the "LRA" will get you!! so you must stay in Kampala were tehre are No "rebels"..in the meantime denying politicians the opportunity to connect with the people of Uganda..only the NRM ( through RC) are allowed to connect with the people. What an igenious move

The presence of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels in Aromo sub-county forced the UPDF to stop the Forum for Democratic Change member, Gen. Mugisha Muntu, from attending a fundraising function on Sunday.
Muntu was supposed to be the chief guest at a Church fundraising ceremony in Aromo Erute North constituency that day.

The 5th Division Spokesman, Lt. Martin Nsengiyunva, said stopping of Muntu was not malicious but it was meant to secure him from danger.
He said there was a group of rebels in the area and had killed four people including a brother to MP Charles Angiro Gutomoi.
Nsengiyunva said when Muntu was stopped, he approached the Division Commander Col. George Etyang who briefed him about the situation.
He said Muntu was advised to wait until the army cleared the road but he decided to travel back to Kampala.
A New Vision reporter, Mr James Oloch, who travelled with the group told The Monitor that Amuka militia-men stopped their vehicles at 3p.m at Angolocom parish in Ogur sub- county, 3 kilometres from the fundraising venue.

The Militia told the group that they were suspecting a group of about 10 LRA rebels to cross the road towards Aromo, 5 kilometres away from the IDPs camp where the function was to take place.
The fundraising was organised by Aromo West Pentecostal Assemblies of God mission to raise money for the construction of a church
