Unknown people last week broke into Nakawa Deputy RDC's office and stole his 'sensitive' documents.
Mr Mpimbaza Hashaka said the documents stolen were those implicating districts and local government officials in the mismanagement of funds from the government.

"They selected papers with data implicating district leaders throughout the country," Hashaka told journalists at his office recently.
He said he has been compiling evidence for the last one year on the diversion of government funds by districts and the Local Government Ministry.
He said the funds under Local Government Development Programmes [LGDP], School Facilitation Grant [SFG] and conditional releases had been highly abused.
"I think the culprits smelt a rat and moved faster and stole the papers to erase evidence," Hashaka said.
He said he had got access to some forged cheques among other documents throughout 203 parishes in Uganda.
He said the thugs later went to his house in Kamwokya.
"We made an alarm. Thanks to police because they acted swiftly," Hashaka said.
He said this was the fifth attack in six months.
He said he was physically assaulted in November and threatened to quit the RDC post.

"The group that attacked me asked me to stop attacking them on radios," Hashaka said.
Hashaka has been a critic of Kampala City Council for alleged misappropriation of government funds
