Karimojong warriors rustled 58 head of cattle last week in two separate raids.
Thirty head of cattle were raided from Paibwo village in Labongo Layamo sub-county and 28 from Namokora sub-county, in Chua County.

One person was reported killed by the warriors in the course of their raids in Namokora.
In the second raid at Paibwo village, the warriors abducted five people out of which two women returned but three men are still missing.
The UPDF Northern Region Spokesman, Lt. Tabaro Kiconco, confirmed the raids on Monday.

He said the UPDF mobile forces had been deployed to pursue the warriors and recover the animals. He said they would ensure that the warriors surrender the guns.
"We will make them surrender their guns peacefully. No force will be applied on them," he said. The Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Santo Okot Lapolo, had issued an order stopping Karimojong pastoralists from looking for pasture in Kitgum because of atrocities they had committed in the area.
