Rebels Kill Two, Abduct Seven

Rebels of the Lord's Resistance Army killed two civilians on Tuesday night and abducted seven residents of Obiya parish in Laroo division in Gulu Municipality.
The dead have been identified as Oola Michael Mzee Ocaya.

The army's northern region Spokesperson, Lt. Tabaru Kiconco, confirmed the attack.
He said the army suspects the attack was carried out with the help of collaborators.

"We cannot rule out the possibility of local collaboration in this incident, we warn all collaborators to desist from the practice," Kiconco said in a press conference yesterday.
He said two of those who had been abducted were rescued by UPDF patrol troops.
