My personal opinion....all this so called political transition to multiparty politics in Uganda, is nothing but a fake. Unless somebody convinces me otherwise. Indeed , if indeed the so called transition was or is real, what the movement is doing ( see article below) wouldn't be happening!!

The national coordinator of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Maj Gen. Mugisha Muntu, has blasted State Minister for Finance Mwesigwa Rukutana for closing the party's office in Ntungamo district.
"Imagine a whole minister together with the RDC, district internal officer and district police commander spending a whole day closing an office of a registered party," he said.

He was meeting Kashaari residents at their area MP's home in Rutooma village Kashaari on Easter Monday.
Rukutana is said to have ordered his driver and escort to close an FDC office in Rubaare trading centre on Ntungamo-Kabale Road on March 19.
He also ordered them to erase the party name off the office wall ahead of President Yoweri Museveni's visit to the area recently.
The FDC area coordinator, Mr Sali Mukago, accused the district intelligence officer, RDC and the district police commander of enforcing the closure.
Rukutana admitted ordering the closure, saying Mukago was trying to embarrass the President by opening and painting the FDC inscription on the wall.
Muntu said, "These are some of the things that prompted us to go to the bush. It reminds some of us when Museveni and his wife were held at a roadblock at Nakawa during the UNLF days in 1980 when he was a minister."
He said the government was pushing the opposition to the wall using uncouth methods like branding FDC warmongers which they are not and arresting their supporters.

"We have no connection with the People's Redemption Army (PRA) as the government is alleging. We are not ready to fight but shall use all possible means at our disposal to win through elections but not war. Even if we were to fight this would not be the right time," he said.
The government has on several occasion tried to link FDC to the People's Redemption Army, a rebel group allegedly based in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo. Many supporters and promoters of the party have been arrested and jailed over the claims. They include Besigye's brother Musasizi Kifefe, the Rukungiri District Speaker, Mr George Owakukiroru, and many others. FDC leaders deny the alleged link.
