THE National Political Commissar (NPC) has attacked Irish rock star Bob Geldof for saying President Yoweri Museveni should not seek a third term.
Dr. Crispus Kiyonga said, "How can a mere musician interfere with the politics of our country, not just advising but commanding our President to quit. We must oppose this.
"If a musician somewhere thinks that he can force us to abandon our good driver in the middle of the lake before crossing, then that is a big joke."
Kiyonga was on Easter Sunday speaking at Biizi village in Masindi district during the burial of LC5 chairman John Nyakoojo Majara, who died after a motor accident at matugga on the Kampala-Gulu highway.
The NPC, who represented Museveni at the burial, said the president was saddened by Majara's death.
He advised Ugandans to resist foreign intervention and oppression.

"We must fight for our country and show patriotism like Omukama Kabalega of Bunyoro. He had a plan of ruling the whole of Africa after conquering the whites but unfortunately they killed him," Kiyonga said.
Museveni, who described Majara as a great Movementist, contributed sh2m to the family.
