Uganda's al-Rab army launches attack on southern Sudan

Thousands of people in southern Sudan fled from their houses fleeing attacks launched by the rebels of al-Rab( God) party of Uganda against their villages, according to UN sources.
Spokeswoman for the UN Radia Asour said quoting reports of the UNHCR that more than 4,000 persons arrived since the beginning of this year to the centers of refugees crossings in Balorinia city to the north of Uganda in search of protection.
She explained that the rebels of al-Rab army escalated their attacks against citizens in the areas extending from Adjoumani city to the north of Uganda to the south of Sudan in the triangle formed by the cities of Jouba, Tourit and Nimoli.
Official figures indicated that the rebels of al-Rab army kidnapped some 200,000 children and forced the males among them to fight and used the female to entertain the fighters. The rebels say they are fighting to establish a Christian regime in Kampala built on the ten commandments.
