Mr Jimmy Akena, the son of former President Dr Milton Obote, on Tuesday visited Erute Camp where over 20,000 Internally Displaced People are living in squalid conditions.
Akena led a large entourage of UPC party leaders and supporters to the camp where he urged residents to have hope that the suffering brought by the insurgency would come to an end.
He cited the biblical Job who endured much suffering but was later relieved.

Akena maintained that he had vowed to keep his dread locked hair until peace returns to the region.
The Chief Administrative Officer, Mr Dan Odwedo, thanked him for coming back home after so many years in exile.
