Give Adirisi a call.
Presidents and Prime Ministers detest having strong or possible successors breathing down their necks. Museveni is no exception. They all learnt from Moi's Kenyatta.
Mugabe had a deputy called Banana. What did Mugabe see in Banana? Gay accusations forced matters and Banana was promptly shown the door. (Did he think Banana wanted to turn Bulawayo into a gay Mardi Gras haunt?) Anyhow, Mugabe lost interest in the VP post. It is possible he banned the post.
The VP-ship and the Premiership exist to appease the broad spectrum of tribes and religions. No more.
Tonight, if a mysterious disease hit Bukenya, Museveni has an option. He knows the country pines for a Muslim deputy. The last one we had, 27 years ago, was one Gen Mustapha Adirisi, who could hardly read or write, which suited Amin.
Having been through Professors, Medicos and all the brainy people, Museveni will not be put off by a deputy who ca n hardly read or write. He has concluded Adirisi would be less trouble. Full of experience, the man is worth a try.
I am sure he has Adirisis mobile number.
Nsibambi, another one suffering from Bukenyaiasis (degrees, professorships, speaker of a strange language) is looking over his shoulder too. That Buruli MP, Mr. Samson Dindu Musumeno is seeking revenge

The mafia is powerful...
Poor Bukenya eating his own puke is worrisome.
The mafia is there and indeed powerful to make an academic recently honored in the US,to backtrack on his words.
Museveni should sack him!

I highly doubt
Today he is saying he fears for his job and this is published in the media and no objection from him. Two days later he wri tes to the media denying having ever mentioned names of people who were threatening his job. A day later he appears for a press conference with his purpoted foes and makes what tantamounted to a retraction of the press interview with the media. He is under criticism for using a wrong forum and has been forced to swallow his vomit. He is viewed as an untrustworthy, disloyaland disgruntled servant by his bosses; and some of us in the public, because of his inconsistency, can never take him seriously. If he was a principled person he would stand by his words and resisted the duress to retract his words and resign. Otherwise he has already detected that he is working with maffia in the cabinet; why does he continue to associate with maffia if he's not one? Now that he's admitted that he is a liar, I am sure he is going to be axed sooner than later. My friend used to call it "feeding from the anus of the devil.", and I am eginning to agree with him. He knows that if he resigns the state may stop renting his houses, etc. I urge the president to go ahead and sack him for because the VP portrayed himself as a paper tiger.
