It is good for politics of Uganda
I am beginning to realise that whatever we do we break the law in Uganda context. How do you explain the fact that any formidable opposition voice to government or kisanja can be arrested and charged in court, not for criticising govt at all! There is a lady from Mukono called Nansanga, then Teso squad of Ogwang Olebe,Dr Eriaku, Ekimu etc, then an LC from Rukungiri, another in Arua, then FDC MPs, now Tumukunde, leave alone Dr Besigye!
To say the army should not engage in politics does not stop individual logical opinion of the political manouvres around us.The reason they are allowed to vote is to express that individual perspective. My uncle,John Lamero, told me our cows had humps on their back because they do not talk. As they "swallow"a lot of feelings they should have let out the humps grow.I am not sure that even some of Tumukunde's arresting officers may share his views, but they just prefer to grow humps. If Hen ry was relied on in the good days and he performed, and as trusted friend he like Kategaya,Bidandi, Matembe, Ruzindana, Mugisha Muntu, Maj Kazora,Naduli,Odongo Onyango,Kazini(Cement)Wapa(RIP)just did not want to be psycophants but face their colleagues in NRMO with alternative views, I see nothing wrong with Henry. If these"bad" fellows were non-performers, why did they run the country in those capacities for that long, until that "common" issue came up.
The good lesson Ugandans learn from this is to establish a system which tolerates opposition political views.Im sure many UPDF officers are watching with keen interest but will not comment on this issue for obvious reasons.Arrest not invain.Space out.Ovr2 U
