Where is Uganda heading?
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has been re-elected for a third term by a clear margin, official figures have shown.
Mr Museveni won 59% of the vote while his rival Kizza Besigye took 37%, the Electoral Commission said, but Dr Besigye has alleged widespread fraud. In general elections the government did less well.
Thursday marked Uganda's first multi-party elections in 25 years and the poll has been seen as a test of the country's democratic credentials.
What does Mr Museveni's win mean for Uganda? Did you vote? Do you believe that the polls were free and fair? Does the situation in Uganda have parallels with your part of Africa? Send us your views.
