Suspected Kenyan Pokot on Saturday night killed 13 people, including six homeguards in Ngenge sub-county, Kapchorwa district, reports Nathan Etengu.
The armed Pokot also burnt down four huts in the attack in Sundet village, where score
s of
ethnic Sabiny had returned after more than 20 years of displacement by both the armed Karimojong and Pokot rustlers.
The commanding officer of the UPDF 3rd Infantry Division, Col. Gavas Munyenyi, said a helicopter gunship pursued the attackers towards Lemsui hills in Pokot (Uganda) district.
