What does the FDC intend to accompolish by parading the fellow? What is it that the people of Uganda and members of the International Commuinty still do not know about the Kampala regimes reign of terror? If people still doubt Museveni MO after 20 years of NRM dictatorship.. then as Museveni would say " you derseve to be taken into slavery"....

THE Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) yesterday paraded their supporter Patrick Sentongo who claims to have been tortured by the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) in a safe house.
Sentongo, 23, of Jambula zone, Bwaise, a Kampala suburb, said while in CMI custody he met Pt. Allan Barigye and other suspects in a safe house near premises belonging to the Congolese and the Danish embassies in Kololo.
Barigye was arrested from Makenke, Mbarara barracks, after he swore an affidavit supporting Col. Besigye's
last election petition. Sentongo narrated his ordeal to the press at the FDC Villas in Najjanakumbi, yesterday.
Army spokesperson Maj. Felix Kulayigye called the allegations silly. "Torture is not our method of work. Can you imagine having a safe house to torture people in between embassies? That would be advertising yourself. I doubt that information," he said, adding, "It is interesting that every suspect arrested belongs to FDC. Are they champions of criminals?"
Kulayigye dismissed Barigye's claim of torture, adding: "Barigye will be charged with desertion. He belongs to the army, not to FDC."
Flanked by FDC spokesperson Wafula Oguttu and other party officials, Sentongo said his tormentors accused him of registering rebels and wanted him to reveal their leader. He said he was arrested by men in army uniform one-and-half months ago on his way to Owino Market where he vends second-hand
clothes.
Speaking in Luganda, Sentongo said, "I told them that I did not know of any rebel group but they insisted that I tell them."
Sentongo, who now limps and has a broken bandaged left hand, said he was detained for three weeks and subjected to torture before transfer to the CID headquarters.

Sentongo, with bruises all over the body, said he, Barigye and other suspects were tortured under the command of Lt. Enoch Musinguzi. He said they were given one meal in two days and intimidated with snakes and scorpions.
Sentongo said he was made to kneel on broken bottles and to hang handcuffed for two days. He was released on Police bond on June 22 after paying sh500,000 to the CID headquarters.
Wafula demanded all 'political prisoners' held incommunicado be charged in courts of law and transferred to gazetted prisons.
