Dear Herrn Christoph Strasser,
RE: REQUEST TO DIVERT GERMAN DONATIONS FROM UGANDAN GOVERNMENT
We the undersigned citizens of Uganda, hereby extend our sincere gratitude to the Germany parliamentarians, for having shown concern over the denial and abuses of human rights, that are still suffocating our motherland Uganda. By finally visiting the Country and witnessing the atrocities still in force. We have submitted petitions to the Germany Bundestag, in August /2005 and to all the Germany Federal States,on 09/February/2006. We have demonstrated in the city of Nuernberg on 11/February 2006. Vehemently disputing President Museveni`s atrocities, his oblivion towards the Northern Uganda genocide, and his intolerance and traumatising of the opposition. The Germany Government has yet to respond. We would like to thank the Ansachen State------ for responding and forwarding our request to the necessary authorities.
We would like to stress further that the President of Uganda abuses and hatefully misuses the Germany funding generosity by purchasing weapons that the Ugandan Army uses to decimate the political opposition, to continue with the genocide in Northern Uganda, abating his army to kill and dispatch of the northern population, to rape and maim the children, turning them into child soldiers and sex slaves, using them as killing machines against the civil population, and ignoring the fact that the children have become invisible. Wandering on their own in the rebel infested villages in the night to avoid abduction and torture. Ignoring the appalling, congested death trap of the Internal displaced persons (IDPs) Camps. Museveni has so far managed to fool the international world to save the image of the country, under the disguise of fighting Kony, the leader of the Lord`s Resistance Army (LRA), in the North. While his army is very much involved in committing most of these atrocities. He used the funds to invade Uganda`s neighbors, killing millions and millions of their citizens, in oder for Museveni to assume their land and consume their resources.
Our people especially the children, are still dying of curable deseases like malaria, cholera, meningitis, malnutrition and many more, as a result of the Government`s insatitable desires, and selfishness. The AIDS patients have no chance in Uganda, while the Government cronies are receiving first class treatment abroad.
As the Germany Government has decided to look into matters concerning the North of Uganda, where the genocide has been maintained for more that 10 years. We remind it to also look into the torturous chambers known as the safe houses, all over the country. Our innocent people are still languishing and tortured in these houses and in prisons all over Uganda. Beginning with the Vice Crime Crack Unit (VCCU), which arrests innocent people, and accuses them of treason, possesing weapons and the involvement with the opposition. We beg the Germany Government to consider diverting its generous funds from the Ugandan Government, to the private sector and NGO`s, to assist the poverty eradication projects and the medical centres. To maintain and sustain a permanent cooperation with concerned Ugandans in the diaspora. To move a motion in the Parliament to discuss the situation in Uganda, just like the United Kingdom, to address these issues to the European Union on our behalf, and if possible to meet with us.
