Why is govt really excited about LRA talks? I am yet to understand why all of a sudden the President has made a u-turn
about the leader of the Lords Resistance Army (LRA), Joseph Kony, whom he had
swore never to meet. Why is it that now the president is highly interested in the peace talks that are going on in Juba the capital of South Sudan when it is alleged that the LRA are at their weakest militarily? Now I know the reason why Museveni and his government are quickly exciting the public with their so-called peace talks. It is siasa only to work on the peoples psyche that they have been for peace all this time the war has been going on in Northern Uganda. Could it be that if Kony were to be arrested and taken to The Hague, he would spill the beans about all the atrocities that the national army may have committed against the people of Northern Uganda? There could be more than meets the eye. The indictments by the ICC against these fugitives should not be withdrawn if this impunity and madness is to be eliminated from our midst.
