Now this is developing faster than I expected. Premier Dalton McGuinty has
just confirmed that Kathleen Wynne is going to stand for the leadership of
the Ontario Liberal Party. So it is safe to say now that the press
conference of Monday is to officiate it. Note that since the premier
resigned, whoever is elected to lead the party in the convention,
automatically becomes a Premier of Ontario until such a date that we hold a
general election in the province. Can Kathleen win? It depends on who pops
up to contest but her raising up early in the game ensures many to back her
up than going after the job.
She has a very good shot.

There are a couple of interesting issues we need to keep abreast to, few
hours ago Kathleen Wynne filled her resignation from a post of minister of
Municipal Affairs and housing and minister of aboriginal affairs. Now as you
know the Ontario parliament was shut down due to the premiers resignation,
so why has Kathleen a close friend of the premier decided to resign from
this cabinet? No one knows exactly, but let me scoop you in what is eating
me up, remember at the resignation of the premier? He said that if any one
of the Ministers wants to stand to take the leadership of The Liberal party,
he or she must first resign from cabinet to stand. I might have a Liberal
candidate to stand for leadership of the party. Oh and Kathleen Wayne is
going to hold a press conference on Monday, time not yet allotted but trust
me through the weekend we will have the time. One wonders what she is going
to announce in that conference. Keep an eye out to that.
We continue to get problems from especially The New York state of service
failures. For some reason they are having a problem firing up their grid,
and either Americans are lazies or they are slow, there is no reason why
there is any one in New York for example without power today, but they have
lots of areas that are still in the dark due to Sandy. If the numbers I have
are right, Quebec power sent in a crew of 150 fully equipped workers, they
crossed via Ganonoque to go and power up every bulb, I think Ontario is
sending in about 150 this weekend through Detroit, we need the grid to be
powered up and every one to have power. This thing has dragged on so long
and it is having a side effect to us . So good luck to our kids down South,
fire up the lazies and come back.
