I want to spend a very little time on the sad case that has happened in
London today, of Jacintha Saldanha that has decided to take her own life.
Jacinta is the nurse at King Edward VII Hospital of London, that took a
prank phone call from Australian DJs targeting Kate Middleton as a patient.
And as you realize the back ground of this story, the prank phone call took
place and it was discussed all over the waves but I ignored it for it was
not at a level The British were putting it. Pranks grow by what attention
you hand them and surely the British fade this prank and it got wings all
over the place. I am therefore even this evening not going to spend a whole
whack of time on it, but I think there are a couple of lessons we can get
out of this poor woman that has decided to take her own life.
As Kate was recuperating in the hospital, 2 DJs of an Australian 2Day FM
station decided to pretend they were Her Majesty and called the hospital to
inquire about The Little Katies tummy Jacinta picked up the phone and
perched a person she believed was the Queen to the nurse that was directly
taking care of Kate Middleton. The woman on the other end of the phone asked
very basic questions and the nurse answered them truthfully. As always in
internet generation this picked up furiously and went viral, and everyone
went after Jacinta and the two DJs. Today Jacinta has decided to take her
own life and the whole world is against the DJs and asking for their being
fired. Listen these DJs have been attacked so badly today that in an hour
after we knew Jacinta had dispatched herself, I called their station for I
wanted the original tape of what they said for what I have is a copy and the
entire station had been shut off air, the face book accounts of the DJs are
off and they are not answering any phone call. And trust me we have contacts
in Australia looking for them all day and we have failed to know exactly
where they are.
Which brings me on the facts.
1} Prank calls are with us and to remain, and what life if there are no
prank phone calls. My son has called as my boss, they have called as Bill
Clinton they have called as Jean Chretien, My God the entire world these
days talks like GWB the son, should we fire all of them? David Letterman has
all along the campaign attacked Mitt Romney from his Cat to his car to his
what have you, should we close his show? Hey what about Jay Leno how about
that should we close his show as well? DJs survive for they can carry out
pranks like such and The British need to learn what living a sober life
means. Have you ever seen a show like Just for Laughs made in my
neighborhood of Quebec city? My God it crosses all lines. Hey how about this
hour has 22 minutes on CBC.com? All these examples are to all of you
claiming that my God the DJs pushed a woman and she killed herself. Tough
luck !!!!!! Should we all as normal people shut off our lives because we
have one little crappy girl in London that does not seem to understand where
fun comes from, and we try our best to make sure everyone is safe so we are
not going to allow DJs to create prank calls? The moment you do that,
someone is going to commit suicide for you have read a piece of news out of
Afghanistan of a massive bomb that blew up 100 kids off a school bus, and he
is going to kill himself due to that news report, then what? We burn the
news reading too to save our sore lives?
2} Because I deal with the community in this city, as soon as I got a wire
that Jacinta had blown up herself, I decided to spend a time on this issue
that I have ignored all along, and I found out a couple of interesting
things. Jacinta Saldanha did not hand out the details it was a different
nurse that did so and as far as we know that nurse has not blown up herself
but Jacinta. But also another factor to recognize, is that Jacinta actually
had nothing at all with what happened than picking up the phone and sending
it through. When you listen to the phone call its self, there is actually no
private information that was released. None absolutely none, it was a
general conversation about a patient and how she was doing. So there was no
damage done absolutely. And trust me I have listened to this tape over and
over and I see no security or privacy damage that was done, and for all we
know Jacinta might actually have only been on a switch board and not in
Kates room so she did not even have a direct contact with them than the
nurse that talked to whoever she thought was Her Majesty. On listening to
the tape of the DJs they did not believe that their call will be accepted as
a call from her Majesty, for at one point one of them says Bad as our
accent was we never expected to be allowed to talk to the room, and here we
were in the room and we wondered what to say So this was not a planned
phone call to attack the Royal family but to attack the hospital with its
security system when you have a pumped up patient. And good for them. It is
imperative to note as well that after that phone call they refused to air it
in Australia, for they wanted their lawyers to listen to it. The tape
remained with the lawyers for 2 and half hours for they had to cross check
the laws of Australia and UK to see if they can be sued. The lawyers cleared
it to air a very reason many of us got information that there was a breach
in a hospital but for two hours we would not listen in for there was never a
tape till then, this shows you that there was no crime intended.
3} Which brings me to number three that makes this posting important. There
is nothing you can do to a human being to commit suicide and no one should
ever delude to you that what you have done to so and so has caused his/her
committing suicide. People sit in the comfort of their homes and plan to
commit suicide, what you do that particular moment simply becomes a match
that strikes on a stone of an already doused cotton. Jovan Belcher killed
his wife drove the body and dumped it then came back to the stadium where he
killed himself. I submit to you that he planned all this for a long while,
I submit to you that he visited all sites where this will happen where he
will commit suicide and who will be there and where will he dump the body of
his wife. You will be surprised at how many times the victims researches
this episode before it is done to completion. Did you know the single
argument that Dave Duerson, a two time Super Bowl Champion with the Chicago
Bears and New York Giants had? Was a failure to understand the effect of the
game to the brain. Dave Duerson committed suicide by shooting himself into
the chest. Every single suicide we know goes for a head for a head is sure
deal why a chest? Because Dave wanted to die but he also wanted to save his
brain so that The NFL Brain Bank can get it intact to study it and find a
way to save the brains of the players. So what ever happened before he
committed that suicide was only a switch to the end of the plan. Dave
actually wrote a note to the coroner requesting them to hand his brain to
the bank very immediately. Yup get a meat hacker as soon as you find me, and
cut my brain out. People that jump off bridges, off train platforms do so
for they have planned this end, and they visit these points regularly, and
they check them out to see what works best, and our being a point of contact
at that near moment is simply accidental. If you can follow this discussion
then you are able to talk to an individual and know that he/she is suicidal.
Jacinta Saldanha decided on her own will, to murder her self and it has
absolutely nothing to do with the Royal Family, the DJs let alone you and
me, she planned her journey and good for her for she planned and she was
successful.
Let the rest of us as society move on with our pathetic lives.
