The OPP {Ontario Provincial Police} has now put out a call asking everyone
to get off the highways. This is due to two reasons, {1} You are bound to
die in an accident or {2} You are failing the Congo trucks to plow the stuff
of the road. Again stay indoors till further notice.

This is now an emergency.

Friends

After a long time without winter storms, yes the last one we had in Toronto
was about five years ago, We have two storms that have created a great
misadventure into North America. One storm coming from United States and a
second storm coming from Alberta. Both of these storms are targeting Canada
for they have to go through St Lawrence Sea way back to the Atlantic. This
time Toronto has been walloped. We spent the night thinking that it will
cut us out as always but sorry it is here and we are doomed. We are going to
have a whole lot of snow and every agency is advising that if you do not
have to drive please don’t drive. I have tried to go on the road this
morning but it is simply not worth it.

Every public school I know of is closed, Ryerson, University of Toronto,
York, Macmaster and a whole whack of universities are closed. This site
<http://www.bmilem.com/m/?s=cnew-fm&d=764971&q=cnew-fm201328365735&e=mulindw
[email protected]&RefNum=19866941> Click here can give you a list as they are adding
on every minute. Toronto police has become the first jurisdiction to advise
not to drive if you don’t have to.

If you’re flying from Toronto we have been handling it well, but we have
several flights cancelled for they will not be able to land in Eastern
United States, so if you are going to Boston New York Washington and a whole
whack of airports in that general area, kindly unpack. Up to 9 30 am we had
just under 5,000 flights cancelled through the system and those
cancellations are going to create a domino effect wherever you are. I have
just talked to a friend that works in Newark airport and she said that the
airport is going to be closed at least for a week, they have snow of about
60 inches by now with a wind factor of 150 KMPH, so they need all this to
stop they analyze the damage then do the repairs then start to fly. Since
she does not know the damage now, she is betting a week to be safe. It is
that brutal. If you are inbound from anywhere especially Europe, all flight
from Europe have left and they are coming in, if for example you are coming
to Toronto, up to last 15 minutes when I checked last, you are going to
land. The question mark is on all those inbounds heading to United States,
the airports in Canada are being advised to accommodate them, so instead of
heading to Boston for example you will be diverted into Montreal Toronto or
Ottawa, you have no chance heading into Eastern United States let alone
Eastern Canada, till when this thing settles down. Toronto Pearson has been
doing good but they have started to slow down on take offs for the D-Icing
is slow on the ground .

Stay home it is Friday. And keep the pets inside at all costs.
