What about Mengo and Baganda that got the most out of that war? The war
removed AMO from power and it reinstated the Kingdom, what is the
contribution of Baganda and Mengo towards Luwero?

Just asking !!!!!!

Had it not been the recent demo by Luwero Veterans hopefully NRM would have
thought they help Luwero by destroying what we had. We have been
complaining and they called us name. Some medical doctors thought we were
somehow mad!
You can imagine! Now things are getting really nasty - I wonder how the
miracle development that has failed in 28 years and systematic destruction
will all of the sudden start

President Yoweri Museveni, who is on a poverty eradication drive in Luwero

"I want to make Luwero distric a model zone in Uganda as far as creating
wealth is concerned. I will establish a barracks in every Saza to ensure the
implementation of the exercise", Museveni aid.

The President was on Wednesday addressing veterans at Kalasa Primary School
in Makulubita Sub-County in Luwero district.

Museveno reiterated his call to have systematic approach in implementing
programs in agriculture, education, health and infrastructure.

He added that in wealth creation, a family that hasof 4 acres of land, must
have an acre of coffee, one of fruits and another acre of bananas for food
security as well.

He said the 4th acre should be for elephant grass for dairy cattle
dedicated to zero grazing farming activities. Museveni also advised that
homes should rear chicken for eggs, improved livestock such as goats, apiary
and those near swamps can open up fish ponds. He pledged to provide the
people of Luwero with nursery beds for seedlings.
