Can the people pay for the commuter buses? Is there an economy to justify that
investment? I need the Edward Pojim’s and Ocen Nekyon’s to go home and write a
paper of how we can extend services to the people so that we slow them down
from travelling to and into Kampala before we go your way. Ugandans travel a

It depends. If government wants quality life for the people the bodas will be
removed and replaced with city commuter buses and fine walk ways both of which
provides employment. But if government just wants votes they will keep the
bodas and the people miserable and desperate for survival therefore easy to
rule and confuse

I think that if the UG government gets rid of the Boda-boda from Kampala, or
elsewhere, many would lose their jobs which may as well be the only income for
their families.

I believe the ministries involved should come out with a clear legal work plan
for the entire Uganda and not just Kampala.
For example, speed limits, restriction of vehicle types that does not only have
to be boda-boda but general prohibitions etc
Most favoured to me would of course be to get boda-boda operators ond owners
to join muscles and go up into cars.
That require some elementary commerece training to boost confidence and trust.

Government should get rid of boda-bodas in the city. let them be restricted in
the subarbs. It has worked in Zambia, Kenya & Rwanda. The city wont be as
congested and a nightmare when driving within, if they move them.
