No I think the Kudos must go to the WBKs and Edward Pojim that kept on singing
how Sudan's problem is solved now that South is independent. Oh by the way so
was George Okello. And here we are with the new democracy of South Sudan the
new country. But before I took a sip of my Uganda Waragi glass I got this one
from UK, a posting Edward Pojim, WBK let alone Nekyon will ever make public for
to them we all must sing all is well with my South Sudan soul.

UK sends plane to evacuate its nationals from South Sudan
December 19, 2013 - 13:27 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - Britain said on Thursday, Dec 19, it had sent a plane to
South Sudan to evacuate its nationals after five days of fighting between
government forces and rebels which has killed up to 500 people, according to
Reuters.
Britain's Foreign Office said the aircraft was on its way to Juba, the capital
of South Sudan, to collect any UK nationals who wanted to leave later in the
day.
A spokesman said about 150 Britons from an estimated 500 in Juba had so far
expressed an interest in leaving and those who remained were advised to stay at
home and avoid travel.
Britain has also withdrawn all non-essential embassy staff, while keeping its
mission in Juba open. It advises against all travel to the South Sudanese
capital.
Government forces were battling rebels to keep a foothold in a flashpoint town
on Thursday, in a widening conflict that may split South Sudan along ethnic
lines and has prompted an east African bid to mediate.

There is no surprise in what is happening in South Sudan as it has happened in
many African countries before. Why are we surprised? Now that the common enemy,
the Arab/Afro Arab muslim who forced disparate ethnic tribes to unite -- those
that enjoy nudity 24/7 to those that are much more enlightened is out of the
scene i.e. defeated the really war among the tribes has yet to begin --
unfortunately!! In an Oxford seminar on the situation in Sudan in the 1980s way
way before the peace agreement was reached and south Sudan became independent,
a SS participant intejected -"we do not want to be like Uganda". I smiled and
retorted "only time will tell". Well, it is unfortunate but those of us who
have followed events in Africa very closely will agree that this situation in
SS may actually get worse before it gets any better.
God bless the innocent souls that have lost their lives and those to yet lose
their lives over stupidity!!

Allan,If
there are army defections on a large scale, then the Silva Kiir government is
on oxygen. Sometimes Africans can easily send someone not
depression........now these guys asked for independence but they are now
tearing themselves apart. The moment you get out of your parents house, you
must have a plan on how you are going to survive. What is happening in south
Sudan is an embarrassment to Africans and African Union. AU is as useless as a
Kakooza Mutale without the Kibooko squard!

A South Sudanese
army official says clashes among military factions have spread to the rural
state of Jonglei in escalating violence that the government blames on forces
loyal to a former deputy president.
Military
spokesman Col. Philip Aguer told The Associated Press Wednesday that there
was fighting overnight among troops in Jonglei, the largest state in South
Sudan.
Casie Copeland,
South Sudan analyst for the International Crisis Group, said army officers
from the Nuer ethnic group of former Vice President Riek Machar —who is now
being sought by the military for his alleged role as coup leader— are
defecting in Jonglei. She said that "the situation is no longer contained to
Juba."
U.N. diplomats
say that as many as 500 people have died in the fighting.
