It is the tragedy of Uganda survival has been limited into being in politics.
There is no man I would have respected as Olara Otunnu if he left with his
uncles and started a research firm in Uganda. But wapi he wants to die a very
old man still in politics. If you remove him out of UPC leadership he is
going to start a political party called the erosion of the Obote family from
Uganda politics party. By the way I was just informed last night that he has
fired or neglected everyone in UPC and he is running it with only one man
Lucima. So now you have a party in Uganda running between only two people
Lucima and Otunnu. Which brings me back to Gwokto, he used to tell us how
Otunnu is a very good man for he is going after those that are stealing money
out of the party, do you actually know how much Otunnu and Lucima have used
so far?

This faction has taken us back 60 years with the naming this proposed outfit.
Wasn't it Iganitius Musazi who founded a farmers party whose seeds germinated
hybrid parties, chief among them, the Democratic Party (DP)and the Uganda
National Congress, with the latter, through cross pollination, becoming UPC?
Mr. Mafabi is a young, brilliant politician with a bright future ahead of
him. He will be most ill-advised to envelop himself in this non-sequiter of a
party. It's a petty, parochial outfit likely cobbled overnight by a
distraughted FDC member who has not come to terms with the recent changes at
Nnanjanakubi.
