For now 24 hours this stretch of 401 in Cobourg is still closed. This is not
normal and either justified. It might be because a whole whack of damage was
done or the weather that has refused to cooperate at all. Winds a still
howling and we are double digits negative, as we wake up our minds to all
those trying to clean up this mess.
I continue to advise to forget heading East of the city by road.

If you are planning to use 401 this morning be informed that for some
unknown reason we have several trailers that have flipped in the area
between Grafton and Cobourg. OPP is defining it as collisions involving
several trailers, East bound lanes are going to be closed throughout morning
rush hour to allow the needed equipments to go in and clean up the mess.
This information is just starting to come in so we have no idea if we have
any causalities as most agencies are still enroute to the scene.
This is a very developing story.
