Yes this is just a routine thing I post annually, tonight we are changing
clocks in this atmosphere, yes we are moving up an hour at exactly one
second after midnight. And as you always know I murder for that one hour
sleep, so if youre calling tonight, remember to add that hour into
consideration. We are in 6 hours of this posting, descending into a sleeping
marathon tonight. And there has never been a joke at getting that extra hour
of sleep. If you are in this city and you are working tonight, realize that
you are going to work for 8 hours and get paid for 7 hours, change your
budget immediately for Good has just gone bonkers at you by making you a God
damn slave for a full hour. If you are self-employed as my own truly, it
really does not matter that much either ways.
As usual I am posting a reminder that as you are switching the clocks you
also change the battery in both fire detectors and carbon monoxide
detectors. Even if you changed them last week, I am calling on changing them
tonight too because we need the change of batteries to be on this day
always. If you dont have a carbon monoxide detector install it tomorrow
morning for it is the only silent killer we have in this city. Carbon
monoxide does not have an order let alone a feel, so you just die in deep
sleep. Install a carbon monoxide detector to your residence today. The smoke
detector is of value to you too, and especially in this city we have got
some stupid deaths due to fire lately. A fire that was on Dovercourt street
has today claimed a 4th person. We have changed the building codes so much,
that we have better standards than I have seen in cities this large, we have
fire prevention programs that are way higher than most jurisdictions, most
of our buildings are new than London that has buildings of 1500 AD, why are
we still losing people in fires this large? Because we are behind in
installing smoke detectors and sprinklers. We have just mandated them into
retirement homes after the fire killed so many oldies in Quebec. Change the
batteries tonight for your own sake and those that care about you.
Lastly there are those with problem understanding if we move forward let
alone backwards, here is a good formula, we always spring forward and we
fall backwards. So because we are now approaching Spring we spring forward
one hour and in the fall we fall backwards an hour.
I am hereby thus declaring the sleeping marathon of tonight open.
