The federal Liberal party confirms Herb Gray, one of Canada's
longest-serving parliamentarians, has died at the age of 82. Herb Gray, who
was a sitting Parliamentarian in Ottawa for 40 years, died today at the age
of 82. Gray was first elected in 1962 with the federal Liberals, and retired
in 2002, after sitting as the deputy PM in Jean Chretien's government from
1997-2002.
