That is such a hollow explanation I would even just expect out of a Scottish.
Is there a day Israel has not built a settlement? So what is it that they were
given and refused? You have come to some one’s country and now you are making
offers?

As who? Geez

Had they (Palestinians) accepted an earlier settlement they would have been a
larger state. Problem was and still is that they think they will one day kick
out Israelis which is a far, far-fetched dream. Over time Israel has chewed
away the little it donated to them in good faith but this time with force. In a
few years Palestine will only be a name of a certain people without land.best
it can do is to simply shut the fuck up with biting Israeli bullets. The Swedish
decision is such a lame gesture of solidarity with a diminishing people and
comes too late.

Ldt. Ocaya,

Sure, and count to it Dag Hammarsköld and Raul Wallenberg.

But remember the tricky part about the formation of the state of Israel as well.

GOOK, Laduma, and UAH folks,

Let us not forget, the late Folke Bernadotte, the very strong Swedish
Ambassador who was unanimously chosen to be the United Nations Security Council
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Security_Council> mediator in the
Arab–Israeli conflict
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab%E2%80%93Israeli_conflict> of 1947–1948. He
was assassinated in Jerusalem <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem> in 1948
by the militant Zionist <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism> group Lehi
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lehi_(group)> while pursuing his official duties.

I think, the newly elected government of Sweden knows and, or expected and some
EU countries may be critical, but at the end of the day peace is a matter of
give and take. YES, American had continued to endorse the politics of survival
of the fittest, but it had never brought peaceful coexistence between Israelis
and Palestinians since the creation of this state of Israel.

Yes.But this is retrieving the Socialdemocratic

Middle East policy back on agenda. The socialdemocratic party has

since the Olof Palme and Sten Andersson era along with

Norge worked hard for Palestinian sovereignty

(recall Nobel Prize to Arafat?!).

However, since the dominace of conservatives in the EU parliament,

not much to that end is realized.

Already there has been wide protest from USA and even from

certain organisations within the EU.

It is a bold declaration but as said, my opinion is that the EU in its present
outfit shall not support it.

We need more red governments in Europe to counter blue dominace in EU.

If true, that would be a positive move in the right direction. With the Swedish
setting the ball rolling, there is a likelihood of other Scandinavian countries
following suit.

I saw this story on the BBC News iPad App and thought you should see it:

Sweden to recognise Palestinian state

Sweden is to "recognise the state of Palestine", Prime Minister Stefan Lofven
says, the first long-term EU member country to do so.
