You know a whole whack of us are pleading for Uganda to learn to live
independently, to stop being a begger, we have done this and so successfully
all our lives. But there is this kind of Museveni mentality that has started
even organizations to beg for Uganda. A mentality that living life is a
business of someone else. And it just amazes me if such organizations
understand the larger consequences of listing yourself as a single largest
begger in society. Is Uganda poor? Does it have a pandemic? Does it have an
immediate disaster? If the answer to the above is no, then what will UNAA do
when Uganda received a major earthquake as some countries have done? You simply
cannot build a country by handing them freebies. Period. Look at Northern
Uganda and the larger damage they have done to their region of turning it into
a single largest receivers of freebies. And now you are turning the entire
country into that?
Oh Boy !!!!!!!!

Festival New York Hands Money to Twegaite
What UNAACauses has done is a true testament of what Ugandans in the diaspora
can achieve if w put our hands together. For long, UNAA has been a net donor
receiver from the Ugandan tax payers. To be honest with you, at first i thought
the twenty thousand was just a small token which after all, compared to the
millions of dollars we supplement the Ugandan economy with, was worth utilizing
for UNAA's development.
Little did i know, even with all the bragging of how "UNAA is now debt
free...." that our president would find himself begging for more funding from
the Ugandan dictator during his last visit to Dallas. Yes, the idea of one
hundred thousand dollars increment did not just drop from space. Yours truly
Brian Kwesiga pleaded for that money and his plea was granted NOT by parliament
as he told us, but by Museveni himself.
For how long shall UNAA continue to be a net donor receiver? Isn't it high time
UNAA started to look into the possibility of engaging UNAA members and the few
sponsors in place to start devising means and areas i which we can give back to
our communities in Uganda.
Congratulations UNAACauses, Job well done!! www.unaacauses.org

Great job. It is better to to give to Uganda than to receive from Uganda.

Lincoln Harbor, New Jersey
Home of the Lincoln Harbor Yacht club and conveniently located just across the
Hudson from New York City, this marina is also home to over 60,000 square feet
of retail shops and restaurants.
Empire State Building
This impressive 1,250-feet tower opened in 1923 and was the world’s tallest
building for 30 years.
World Trace Center Site
The National September 11 Memorial features two reflecting pools set within the
footprint of the World Trade Center's twin towers and the 3000 names of those
who lost their lives in the attacks at this landmark. Have you seen this
historic site before? Come and think about world peace.
Battery Park City
This office and apartment community was built on the landfill from the
excavation of the World Trade Center in 1977.
Battery Park
Called “The Battery” by New Yorkers, this 20-acre park at the southern tip of
Manhattan was originally the site of early Dutch fortifications in the 1600s.
Its name originated from the battery of cannons installed there by the British
during Colonial times.
South Street Seat Port
Dating back to the 1600s, South Street and its Seaport District were once the
world’s gateway to New York City and America. After nearly a century of decay,
the district was redeveloped in the 1960s into a vibrant commercial area filled
with shops, restaurants, offices and the popular South Street Seaport Museum.
Brooklyn Bridge
Regarded as one of the greatest architectural achievements of all time, it was
designed by John Augustus Roebling and was constructed between 1869 and 1883.
Brooklyn Heights
Considered New York’s first suburb when it was developed in the 1820s, this
charming residential section across the East River from Manhattan was
originally accessible by steam ferry. It was declared New York’s first landmark
district in 1963.
Manhattan Bridge
The last of the three suspension bridges built across the lower East River. The
lower level has three lanes, four subway tracks, a walkway and a bikeway. The
upper level, originally used for streetcars, has two lanes in each direction.
Williamsburg Bridge
At the time it was constructed, it set the record for the longest suspension
bridge span on Earth. This bridge is among only two suspension bridges in New
York City that still carry both automobile and rail traffic.
Governor's Island
These 203 acres were under military command from the 1700s through 1996, making
it the oldest continuously operated military post in U.S. history.
Statue of Liberty
A gift to the people of America from the people of France, “Liberty
Enlightening the World” stands 300 feet above New York Harbor. She was built by
sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi.
Ellis Island
Nearly 17 million immigrants were processed here between 1892 and 1957.
Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal
Located at the north end of Liberty State Park, this beautiful 1892 structure
was in operation until 1954. Over one half of the new arrivals at Ellis Island
passed through this railroad terminal on their way to new lives across the
United States.
Colgate Clock
This stately timepiece once graced the Colgate Palmolive plant. When the
factory was demolished in the 1980s, the clock remained.
