We are getting several reports about a major accident on 401 at Prescott,
and that is just south of the city of Ottawa. Numerous agencies are being
called in, and by this posting the information is still trailing in, but we
know so far that a tour bus has gone off the road and into a ditch. We are
being told that 4 passengers have suffered life-threatening injuries, we
know that 20 passengers have none life-threatening injuries. We also know
that all lanes of highway 401 West bound have been closed in the area to
allow massive emergency services to access the site. We do not know what
tour company is involved here, and we do not know how many passengers were
on the bus in total.
We have a large number of Ugandans in all these areas, right from TR to the
Ottawa Kingston axis, let us keep our eyes on this one as it develops.
