There is also an example XmiWriterCasConsumer (in the
org.apache.uima.examples.xmi package). They are not the same. We
still have support for the XCAS format.

I think the examples in the org.apache.uima.examples.cpe package should
include the XmiWriterCasConsumer. (I didn't remember look in a special
package for this.) Is there a requirement for it to be in its own package?
I also think we should comment the XCasWriterCasConsumer with something
indicating it is "deprecated", together with a reference to the
recommended way.
