The agenda for UKNOF20 is now available at:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof20/
The meeting is being hosted and sponsored by Hewlett Packard
at HP Labs in Bristol (which you may recall as the successful venue for
UKNOF12), and co-sponsored by Arbor Networks.
There is still some room for an additional talk or two, please contact
me or the Programme Committee <[email protected]> ASAP if you wish to
submit one.
If you are planning to attend, please register ASAP at:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof20/regform.php
and no later than 18:00 UK time next Thursday 1st Sep - we need to have
your name to ensure admission to the venue, as well as catering numbers
for lunch (and not forgetting the excellent Cream Tea last time !-)
The venue is about 2km from Bristol Parkway station which has a frequent
direct service from London Paddington. For local trains, Filton Abbey
Wood station is slightly closer. HP Labs is close to the junction of the
M4 and M32 motorways, and a map of it and local hotels is available at:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&gl=uk&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=107533850007941980315.000461a2d4511094c4e6d&ll=51.50746,-2.557755&spn=0.039426,0.099134&z=14
Meeting connectivity will be provided by HP with support from LONAP,
and we once again intend to webcast the meeting, with thanks to our
webcast sponsors Bogons and Portfast.
We are planning a social event, which will be drinks after the meeting
sponsored by Network Hardware Resale, venue details will be
confirmed closer to the date.
Later the same week, we are planning an open governance meeting (that we
were unable to have during UKNOF19) for all interested to progress the
UKNOF proposals I put forward at UKNOF18. You can find more background
to UKNOF's governance, and an outline of the proposals, at:
http://www.isc.org/community/blog/201108/uknof-20what-next
The governance meeting will be hosted by the BBC in London on the
afternoon of Thu 8th September, space is limited but please contact
Mike Hughes at <[email protected]> if you are interested in attending.
Look forward to seeing everyone in Bristol !
Keith
(UKNOF Chair)
