I've pretty much decided to get an IM model. What's the use case for two NICs? Diverse feeds? Different OoB access networks? HA?

You can certainly have them on two different networks, be it two public, two private or a mix. There's some kind of failover support but I don't know how it works so you'd need to check.

I think you might be able to use the second NIC as part of VPN/dialup access to the network too.

Also IM has dual PSU whilst CM only has single one, I think? (and built-in modem)
