After reading all of these horror stories I just checked a couple of our 10G switches since we've had no issues for almost a year with these.
We're using 3m Cisco 10G SFP+ Direct Attach cables into Intel X520 cards. I checked about 50 cables across 2 switches and there are no CRC errors in the last 40 weeks on any of the ports. Perhaps there's something to be said for the Cisco cables? T
