You can get these little SC to LC adaptors that take 2 male cables but couldn't find one.
In the end we used an SC to LC patch lead with an LC to LC coupler to solve the issue for us. I have never seen any appreciable difference other than the colour of the case. Hell, hold them both up to the light and look through the middle of them, the ferrule holder looks identical. In the past I've used multimode coloured couplers for both single and multi mode, ignoring the part of my mind who hates the wrong colour usage for fibre installations in the face of not completing a maintenance window after finding things I had set aside for the maintenance had been misappropriated by someone else. -- Maria Blackmore Professional Network Fairy
