Hi folks,

Yes, I know, I'm asking about VM - so all bets are off. However...

We've just had a 'BOS Technical Support Analyst' at VM come back on a customer's open fault with the following statement:

"Also a lot of our customers are not aware that you bandwidth is not bio-directional. For example, you have a 50Mbps service. You would not get 50Mbps down and 50Mbps up a the same time. If you were downloading 40Mbps, you would only get 10Mbps upload." (sic)

Does anyone know if this really is the case? If so, I don't recall it being mentioned anywhere prominent. It also sounds very non-standard and it must be an interesting config to actually police that in real time.

Paul.
