When I set up Source (www.sourceplc.com) back in 2010 one of the reasons was to eradicate what was then ridiculous cross connect pricing and what is now unreasonable.
At Source data centres we do not charge any recurring rentals for any types of cross connect, you merely pay for the contractor to run the cables as required, either through our service or by going direct. If we are supply the 3rd party circuit then you don't even pay the install charge.
