Two families, James & Martha COOKE and William & Sidney COOKE sailed from
Londonderry NI to Nova Scotia, Canada in 1761. They were among a party
recruited by government to settle in a surveyed Nova Scotian township.
In 1838, an 18 year-old John COOK from near Glenlark arrived in Perth,
Australia to start his life. This John and the earlier men are DNA matches.
Their Irish origin might include Ardstraw, Camus, Gortin or Rousky.
Any sightings--past or present--of Cook(e)s in Tyrone?
