I had thought that maybe 'threeping, could be something like 'to bribe' as Mary KANE had sworn in court that Floyd said to her "Swear all you can, hide nothing and it will be telling you £5." (which is where my assumption came from) For awhile I was confused as to whether policeman FLOYD's, forename was Ken! (until I'd read it a few times over) <g> I appreciate your responses.
