27 April 1830 MARRIED On Saturday in St. Ann's Church by the Rev. Mr. Hincks, Mr. Thomas McILROY of this town to Miss Esther BOYD, Great Patrick street. On Saturday last, Mr. William COOPER, of this town, to Sarah Jane daughter of Captain GALLIE, White Abbey. On the 16th inst. in the Parish Church of Drumcree, Mr. Francis HOLLAND, second son to Woolsey HOLLAND Esq. of Timakeel to Miss Rachel HALL, daughter of the late Mr. Thomas HALL of Derrycorey, both near Portadown On the 17th inst. by the Rev. Dawson, Rev. Saml. BIGHAM, of Lisbelaw, Co. Fermarnagh, to Jane only daughter of Hugh DONALDSON Esq. of Liverpool On the 19th inst. in the Church of Enniskillen, by the Rev. Mr. Cleary, Mr. George GILLOGLY, governor of Cavan gaol, to Martha eldest daughter of Mr. Robert THOMPSON proprietor of one of the distilleries. On the 22nd instant by the Rev. George Hay, Mr. John EVANS of the Custom Department, to Mrs. Grace WAUGH, relict of the late William WAUGH of Londonderry. DIED On Saturday morning the 24th inst. Miss McCOMB, Mistress of the Brown street Daily School. This situation she held from its commencement (a period of 9 years) and by her kindness and attention to those under her care and her unwearied exertions for their improvement, she gained the esteem of the children and their parents and drew from the Committee of the School repeated testimonials to the value of her labours. On Sunday the 25th inst. near Caledon, in the 95th year of her age, Mrs. HADDOCK, relict of the late James HADDOCK Esq. of Corlaght, Co.Tyrone and mother of Major HADDOCK of the 97th foot, (formerly a Colonel in the Portuguese service) who was killed by an elephant in the Island of Ceylon in June 1828. During her very long life she enjoyed uninterrupted good health, and was in full possession of all faculties until her death. She lived respected and died lamented. At her residence, Ballytrim, near Killileagh, in the 77th year of her age, Sarah wife to Mr. Henry WEAVER On the 16th inst. at Elagh, county Tyrone, Frances Georgina youngest daughter of the late John MACKY Esq. of Elagh At College Square on the 20th inst. aged 21 years Lieut. PIERS, of the 49th Bengal Establishment On 27th October, at Mobille, United States, of fever in the 25th year of his age, John, eldest son of John HOW, Glenavy. At Ballinahone, on the 19th inst. James MACKREL, aged 59 years. He left instructions to his executors to give 10 cwt. of oatmeal to the poor during the ensuing summer, instead of giving spirituous liquor at his wake and funeral. If his praiseworthy example was followed by others, a stop might soon be put to that pernicious practice of distributing spirits at such places, and convert what is worse than lost expense into a blessing to the indigent poor. At Florence, on the 23d ult. Mrs D'ARCY, formerly of Castle Irvine, county Fermanagh Suddenly, on the 15th inst. from the effects of opium, administered by injection, Archibald Alexander Stuart youngest son of the Rev. Robert LOUGHEAD of Ballymoney, aged one year and eight months On Tuesday last. at his residence, Clancow, near Portadown, Mr. James GRAY, in the 78th year of his age. On the 18th inst. Mr. James SCOFFIN, of Strangford. He was for twenty years, a member of the Methodist Society and walked consistently with his Christian profession. In Dungannon on the 7th inst. Anne wife of David DUFF Esq.
