Hmm, sysrq, eh. It's in the kernel but I never played with it before.

When it freezes, it freezes hard and stays so for at least a minute (the
maximum time I've waited before powering down).

Happens w and w/o X, in single-user mode, multiuser mode, with various
modules loaded or not. What a pain. (this is the point where the "OPC"
user says "linux sucks" :)

How do I put it on tty12?
