Hmm, to me slack seems totally suitable for grownups or maybe I'm not qualified 
to say ... it's been suggested :)

Btw slackbuilds.org has a pgplot script. Their scripts are very good and 
endorsed by the BDFL. I almost never have to install anything anymore that they 
haven't already figured out. They don't seem to have a 15.0 branch set up yet 
however... good bet the 14.2 script will work though.
