Hello out there, I think the old boot disk layout is deprecated. To fix the NTLDR missing problem I thought we create a complete new boot disk. My thoughts go in two directions:
- first one: we create a Windows Boot Disk with BartsPE and add all our old scripts in there. (BartsPE is a Bootable CDrom that will allow you to access virtually any Windows 2K, XP or 2K3 PC's hard drive with full Read/Write Access from within its own environment. With this CDrom, you will get network support, a graphical user interface (800x600) and FAT/NTFS/CDFS file system support.) - second: we create a new Linux Boot Disk without DOSEMU. I thought we use Linux format/partition tools instead of format.com in Dos emulation mode. This is straight forward, because then we should have no problems with hard disk access. I thought, that we then copy the complete I386 ___ and a real DOS to the partition and make it bootable. Then reboot and start Windows Install in real Dos. (I thought we could use DR DOS because it´s free and some people are still developing it: http://www.drdosprojects.de). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
