Thanks Matt,
So I set the SATA controller from AHCI to ATA and now the nt5x-install
method seems to get past the Blue Screen Of Death.
The old method still doesn't work and only creates a 4gig partition.
Here is the BSOD message when the SATA controller is set to AHCI and using
nt5x-install:

In the BIOS, go to the SATA Controller submenu and set it to Legacy. See
if
that fixes he problem.
