Yeah, with smbfs this option wasn't needed but with the different client/server 
name lookup method used by cifs (dnslookup) it is needed. :/ Too bad cifs 
doesn't respect the "name resolve order" from smb.conf. :/

Adding a note would surely help others that will run into the same problem 
sooner or later.
