Yup.

Use gcc-4.1 that also comes with Lenny for now.  Some things changed with gcc 
4.3.  Since 4.3 is MUCH pickier, once you get 
past glibc, you still might have to update some of the other packages before 
they will compile.

You might also have some issues.  
http://devpit.org/wiki/Gnu_Toolchain/Compatibility_Matrix might give a few 
hints about 
getting glibc and gcc compiled together.  It isn't as easy as it should 
probably be.  From what I could see, glibc-2.7 won't 
compile with gcc 4.3 unless you patch glibc first.  The link gives the 
suggested patches.

However, the cvs version of unattended compiles just fine on Lenny if you use 
gcc 4.1.
