It works here with the following config.pl settings :
$u->{'_meta'}->{'ntinstall_cmd'} = '/z/site/nt5x-install'; #patched
version of nt5x
$u->{'_temp'}->{'scan_windrivers_path'} = '/z/drivers';
Using those settings, I didn't need to patch dosbin/install.pl.
I haven't tried to resintall using dosemu though.
