Correct.  Through typical startup scripts via Group Policy everything is
executed as the "SYSTEM" account.  This account has full rights on the
local machine, just nothing dealing with the network.

Vendor made .msi's and repackaged .msi's both work with the startup script
scheme (hence the SYSTEM account) as well as simple copying of files
into place but the PFtW/InstallShield seems to not work.


The reason I bring this up is because the "auto-logon" method works fine,
but it does have its drawbacks.  Using startup scripts through Group
Policy is a more "Windows" way to do things -- it has its advantages and
disadvantages as well, though.


I'll still be checking into this but please feel free to give me some
words of wisdom.  ;-)
