Justin

The first though that comes to mind is, is the setup.iss file really in the
netinst folder, I keep mine on the server alongside the setup program itself
(I don't mean that to sound rude, but I have forgoten to move a file to the
right spot before using it)

Secondly, if memory serves, using /f2{filepath} will record a log file, you
could try that & see if there is an error message that might help

Lastly, some software just won't work like that, some educational stuff is
really bad in that respect - perhaps if you let us know what you are trying
to install someone might have already done it and be able to give some
specific help.

Subject: [Unattended] InstallShield Problems

I am having problems getting certain software to install. It uses the
InstallShield installer, and when I ran it on the test machine with the
"/r" switch it produced a setup.iss file. When I try to reuse this
file, though, it doesn't do anything. I run "~~\Setup.exe /sms /s
/f1:c:\NETINST\setup.iss" with the task manager open so I can see what
all happens. It launches the setup.exe, then after less 10 seconds it
is out of the list and nothing has gotten installed. Has anyone else
seen this problem or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it.

Thanks,
Justin
